I previously used another backup plugin on all my sites, and would regularly have issues. Moved a few sites to WPvivid and everything just worked.

I then had one new site that had some obscure plugins (booking system), and the site just wouldn't back up, despite being on the same server as others. Failed at the start.

I reached out the the support, and got a prompt reply with some suggestions of settings to change. I changed the settings, and everything worked.

I'm beyond impressed, given this was a free version of the plugin and I wasn't even a paying customer. Amazing. Will certainly be looking into any paid software from this provider as they have shown they are exactly the type of company I want to be dealing with.

Amazing backup plugin, highly recommended!

Another user dropping BackWPup V5 for something that actually works. I played around with WPvivid Backup Free for a couple days. It is a bit more 'hands on' for my local wiki backups but seems to do what I want to back-up a local instance of wordpress to a couple of remote locations.

Pro: Easy to add multiple FTP repositories, Managing/deleting backups straightforward, progress bar displays sufficient information. Clean-up feature finds corrupt backups.

The biggest Pro is that It does what I want, but at the expense of having to pay attention that 'remote' and the remote location is reviewed/update for each run.

Con: Took a lot of experimenting to find settings to limit number of zip files per backup, backups only identified by date/time (wish I could add location to list of backups), Backup settings default to local rather than last selected.

The biggest Con is I wish I could set up multiple jobs to go to different locations at different times. I will try the Pro license next to see if that is possible.
