I was having issues with mass attacks targeting the default admin login url string. I installed the WPS Hide Login and it drastically reduced the number of attacks. It's super simple to use and a very effective plugin that I now have installed on all of my websites and will install on all sites going forward. It's a must have for keeping a step ahead on your site security.
