Not a good plugin
By tomburke69 on August 12, 2025
After looking into this plugin and the forced logging into Elementor to try to get this Ally plugin to work, I searched for other options and found several good ones that are truly free. I then took this Ally plugin off all the websites I have designed for clients. Several reasons why: it appears to be headed to being a paid service after the "free trial" which is not something I want for my clients; looking into how it functions, Elementor requires additions to privacy notices that are substantial so it appears to pull quite a bit of data from websites and visitors which to me is a security issue; this plugin appears to end up providing little true benefit on the website, and instead offers "scans" that then tell you what to change to fit its own perspectives. The plugin I chose to use is promoted by others as one of the best, and it already has made a positive impact on options for visitors. I am glad I looked into this issue and this "Ally" plugin and realized what Elementor was asking for was NOT what is best for my clients.
ALLY - NICHT KONFORM ZUR DSGVO / GDPR
By eklaubert on August 7, 2025
Fazit: Ich will meine Lizenzgebühren zurück. Und Elementor muss sich überlegen, wie der entstandene Schaden und meine Mehrarbeit zu bezahlen ist.
It's an essentially impertinence, how Elementor offers "Ally" on the market: "…it's important to start making website adjustments to comply with fast-approaching global regulations." While simultaneously violating applicable GDPR laws by implementing a script that connects to servers in unsafe third countries and forwards personal informations. All just to make more money with the licensing model. What do you call that? The Elementor-Support only sends prefabricated text-modules and repeats phrases over days - meanwhile no changes are made to solve the problem. The conclusion: I want my license fees back. And Elementor needs to figure out how to compensate for the damages and my additional work.
Missing tables in the database
By joehfresh on August 7, 2025
Upgraded to this plugin from the old legacy one.
The tables are not being created in the database so it throws errors, deactivating and reactivating the plugin doesn't create the tables.
Poor
You cannot use it in the EU (GDPR)
By PlayerWeb (spielerinternet) on August 4, 2025
It loads a script from outside the EU https://cdn.elementor.com/a11y/widget.js?api_key
For the developers, please note that this practice is prohibited within the European Union. Consequently, customers may be subject to legal liability.
What a pity: the best accessibility plugin got Elementored …
By Oligraph (midway88) on August 1, 2025
Another step in Elementor's quest to monetize every last bit and service. And again, the initial information does not reveal what a bad deal this is in the end.
Shame!
No IOS Support
By zackfair on July 31, 2025
This tool doesn't show on IOS devices!
Thats a big L. I found out that it has something to do with shadow-DOM.
Anyway can't make it work for Iphone or Ipad as example..
Amazing
By bobbybro on July 30, 2025
I have been working in WordPress since 2007 and have a state client that provides services for disabled and blind populations. The recent update to Ally is phenomenal. I used to have to code CSS to get the text to behave at larger sizes. Their addition of a line height increase fixed that, saving lots of time. There are so many nice things about this plugin that make it work perfectly. I'm not a fan of Elementor or any company that turns WP into an upsell party. But this is a great plugin accessibility, the best one I can find.
Misleading Promises, No Real Help – Beware Before Upgrading
By mathu57 on July 25, 2025
What was frustrating in my case is that the plugin promised AI-powered support to fix accessibility issues — but once installed, my links stopped working, there were clear conflicts, and the system pushed me to upgrade despite having already purchased the paid plan.
The most disappointing part? Their customer service responded with a message meant for free trial users, completely ignoring the fact that I paid. No real help, no resolution, no acknowledgment of the problem.
Whether the plugin is connected to Elementor or not, this kind of misleading communication and lack of support doesn't inspire trust — and that’s what I’m flagging here.
