Could be great, but is greatly unreliable instead
By Andrius Vlasovas (vlaskiz) on February 8, 2025
This has been previously described in one of the support tickets here - a month ago.
I've came across this issue MONTHS ago and it was driving me crazy, even swapped some sites to another plugin and I am glad I was not the only one with this issue.
My setup involves usage of WP Rocket. In other words, this plugin does not play nicely with cached websites at all, even if you compress only styles and avoid touching js scripts.
So many problems for a wide variety of clients from a plugin where you would expect that basic things like 'add to cart' event works flawlessly, since it's pretty easy to check.
On top of that, smaller hotfixes comes out with lines like "fixed bugs" - what bugs? how can this plugin be trusted to work where it needs to work after so many broken releases and obfuscated changelogs where you are left guessing whether it was major or minor bug fix.
I would advise people to be very careful when chosing to use this plugin for their ecommerce projects, because don't get me wrong, this plugin could be great, if it was looked after better and current functionality would be flawless, before incorporating new features with their own issues, and it is OK for non-ecommerce websites, but for ecommerce I've had plenty of issues which majority stem from 'add to cart' and 'purchase' events (two most important ones) not working well (and I've tried tens or hundreds of times to adjust everything, tweak code, etc, aka not just surface level changes).

Amazing and Easy to Setup Pixels
By Taher (taherforward) on October 31, 2024
It's done the job of tracking better than the native plugins from platforms! Facebook/Meta (both their plugins sucks!) and recently moved GA4 to it as well. Surprisingly it did it better than "Site Kit by Google" plugin.
Thank you for all your team, and specifically Cristian Stoicescu, on his helpful videos.
slowing down my site,it is always hard to load the add to cart and checkout page
By tatuatu on October 30, 2024
With Pro version,my site is slowing down, it is always hard to load the add to cart and checkout pages,up my processor to 90%,after I delete it the site returns to normal.
The plugin does what it advertises for Facebook pixel integration but not without it’s downsides. After installing this plugin, I noticed a drastic decrease in performance and page load times of my site. After running GTmetrix and Pingdom to confirm, I ultimately deactivated the plugin which solved the issue with the slower performance.

“Pixelyousite Cost Me $40K in Fake Sales: A Cautionary Tale for Advertisers”
By juato4 on August 24, 2024
I used Pixelyousite for a while on my website, but recently I encountered a serious issue that significantly impacted my Facebook advertising campaigns. I received multiple notifications from Facebook indicating that the discrepancies between events sent via API and those from the browser were too large. After further investigation, I discovered that last month I spent over $40,000 on advertising for sales that never actually happened.
The plugin was sending fake sales events, which severely disrupted the automation of my campaigns. I had set my campaigns to automatically increase the budget if they exceeded a ROAS of 10. However, the plugin started repeatedly sending events for old orders and fake sales, causing my campaign budgets to increase drastically without any valid reason.
After a month, I found myself with an enormous advertising expense, but the real sales did not match what the pixel was reporting. This resulted in seemingly amazing ROAS figures of 24 or 30, but in reality, they dropped drastically because the plugin was sending fake sales data. This not only confused the pixel but also led to a real ROAS of -0.9.
To make matters worse, I tried contacting the developer for assistance, but they didn’t even respond to my emails. The lack of support is unacceptable, especially when dealing with such a serious issue that directly affects the profitability of a business.
As soon as I disabled the plugin and replaced it with Facebook’s native solution, the problems disappeared entirely. Since then, I haven’t had any issues with inflated or fake sales, leading me to conclude that this plugin was the root cause of the problem.
Conclusion: If you value the accuracy and effectiveness of your advertising campaigns, I would strongly recommend avoiding this plugin and opting for more reliable alternatives. My experience with Pixelyousite has been costly and frustrating, and the developer’s lack of response only makes it worse. I would not recommend it for anyone looking for reliable results in their marketing campaigns.

Jesus, hire some help already..

I've been a Pro version subsriber of PixelYourSite for quite some time now (spent ~1000 USD on it on a lifetime), and the support is still very disappointing. My last few emails have gone unanswered, making it feel like I'm sending messages to a nonexistent address. Actually, even an invalid address would still inform you it doesn't exist, but PixelYourSite support doesn’t even give you that. Won't even send you an automated confirmation about your message received.
It seems to me that the plugin's author might have issues with delegating tasks. I suspect he still handles everything solely by himself – coding, after-sale support, and GUI development. You can tell from the Boost Plugin and ConsentMagic popup designs alone that they are not made by any kind of graphic designer and honestly look like dog shit compared to some competitors popup designs.
Author, I believe you are a great programmer and the functionality of your work is indeed awesome, but you are terrible for support and GUI. Please do yourself and people who paid money for this plugin a favour and hire some troops already. Considering your plugin's size and active installations, additional help is essential in order to mantain the quality of your service.
Because of that and despite my long-time use and appreciation of the plugin, I can't currently recommend it, unfortunately. I’ll revise my review and increase the rating if improvements are made though.
