Would be nice to have a way to save/export a list of pages without all the additional Priority, Change frequency, Last modified (GMT) info.
leaches your PR

No less than 6 links per page going to the dev home pages on every sitemap, this leaches off a lot of your domain seo power. Do not install.
Ever active?
By viureagava on December 4, 2024
Hello.
Once is installed Sitemap Generator for Google and created the sitemap.xml file, it's possible to delete or deactivated the plugin or it's necessary to have it always installed ant activated?
Thanks in advance.
Would not deactivate
By jlking3 on November 19, 2024
I tried dismissing the nag to join the beta program, and when it wouldn't remove the nag, I tried to deactivate the plugin so I could delete it.
The plugin refused to deactivate, it would reactivate immediately upon deactivation.
I had to ssh into my server and physically delete the plugin.
Others seem to like this plugin, but I can't recommend anything that forces you to go server-deep to remove it. There are other sitemap plugins out there. Use them.

Since version 4.1.20 the plugin works excellent
By mayazir on October 7, 2024
Since version 4.1.20, the plugin has worked very well.
I have had this plugin since 2018. I don't like updates, so I used the old versions for years. In 2022, I updated to the latest version, which reorganized my sub-sitemaps, and the number of indexed posts started to fall. At that time, my site had more than 520,000 posts and after that update, it started losing thousands of indexed posts monthly.
If someone has this problem, I recommend upgrading to at least version 4.1.20, because since this version, everything has worked very well. Since I updated to v4.1.20, my GSC has shown an increase in indexed posts each week. I now have almost 530,000 indexed posts. For the first time since 2022, I have almost all my posts indexed.
Since version 4.1.20, each new sub-sitemap appears as the next and not as the first. I don't know if I explained this well, but because my site is large, I have more than one sub-sitemap. Previously, each new sub-sitemap would become the initial one—"post-sitemap.xml"—and this caused all sub-sitemaps to reorganize their URLs each time, which I think was the cause of losing indexation.
Since version 4.1.20, each newly created sub-sitemap becomes the next; for example, if I previously had the last sitemap as "post-sitemap10.xml," the next sitemap now appears as "post-sitemap11.xml," "post-sitemap12.xml," "post-sitemap13.xml," etc.
After the last plugin update in June 2024, Google stopped losing my URLs, and GSC found almost all my previously "lost" posts.
Useless. Sitemap never got fetched
By jevallejo on September 29, 2024
I couldn't get google search console to fetch the sitemap generated by this plugin. I tried many things and resubmitted multiple times. The sitemap was visible and reachable but was never fetched by google (couldn't read). In the end I ended up removing the plugin and using the one generated by Wordpress, and it was fetched almost immediately by google. Save yourself the hassle and use the built-in Sitemap.
Funny how lots of reviews are by the author... Scam or what?!
